My stimulus message:
"Would you be so kind to drop a line or two about the movie we watched. What did you like? What impressed you? What was the most interesting thing to learn? What was moving? What did you dislike maybe?
For me, personally, it was the moment at the platform about "impeding the movement ". The moment I disliked is how they depicted the Russian guy. He didn't look like our man. The actor couldn't play him well enough.
Though the movie was prepared specially for your group almost half a year ago (don't remember what the reason was). Today I've watched it for the first time with you. I really liked it"
"i like this about the children's efforts to make their mother's life better, like their attempts to free their father. I think it is not so realistic about the director of the railway, like it's nearly impossible to be so rich and still stay kind to poor families. Also there is some not realistic frames about fallen tree and train, machinist saw kids in the window, but behind them was a fallen tree, that was so big that the engine-driver can easily stop without their help, also moment about coal, when little som try to steal some and station guard cough him, but then released him"
"Overall, the movie felt warm and sincere. What I liked most is how naturally it showed kindness and responsibility through simple, everyday choices. The dynamic between the kids and the adults was built very cleanly without pushing too hard, but still delivering the message
What impressed me was how they used the railway setting not just as a backdrop, but as a way to frame the characters growth. The train moments always came with some emotional shift, which worked well
The most interesting thing to learn was how people in that era handled crises, relying on trust, quick thinking, and community support rather than big systems. It gave a nice perspective
The moving part for me was the children attempts to help their father and hold the family together. These scenes felt honest and grounded
Still, I genuinely enjoyed the film. Classic storytelling, simple but effective emotional beats, and a good atmosphere"
Actually, I can’t say that I loved the film. It’s was good but I think that wouldn’t watch it again. I liked the oldest sister, she was very brave and strong. For a whole time while we were watching film I was keeping in mind father’s phase from the beginning of the film.
— Can girls fix trains?
- Of course they can.
(Actually now I can’t remember how it was there, but the meaning is the same)
If starting to think she did everything to get her father out of jail. She first said that is nice idea to “send masses” to father when they were shaking shawls to London train. She decided to tell the railhead commander their problem, so I can say that she solved them.
I was impressed when I saw Russian guy. It’s funny to see someone Russian in film, series and other, but I agree with you, he doesn’t look like ours."
"*about the film "Railway children"
For me, the most interesting moments were a moment about "impeding the movement" and a moment, when children gave a lot of presents to stationmaster, it was very nice. Maybe I haven't moments that I disliked, but I agree that they depicted Russian guy strange. I think, this film is very exciting and nice!"
"What most interested me in that film was the moment when the girls waved to the unknown man on the train. I didn't understand why they were doing it, but that's what intrigued me. I understood that the honor of the man helping at the station was important to him, but I didn't understand his strong reaction to the gift. I liked the film for this story."
"I liked the way they did the atmosphere with the houses and the surroundings. I was impressed that they used an entire train for filming! I didn't like the Russian guy, and to be honest, it felt like they retold the story. I didn't have enough time to fully understand the pain of moving after the first scene, because it was too short."
"I really enjoyed the film. The moment I liked is when old man in the train smiled to children, and next time helped them and their family, it shows that some people in the world are still have a heart. I didn't liked moment when men in the boat was rude to children and throwed stones, it was disgusting, i don't think people can be so agressive in real life, it was no reason, but maybe it was made to show contrast. And I disliked how they showed the Russian guy too, he speaked very bad russian..."
"I really like the film! I enjoyed it. The plot was very interesting and sometimes thrilling.
I like everything about this film: actors, scenes, costumes. The most interesting thing to learn was that it’s normal to call for help, even if you don’t know that person.
The most impressive thing for me was the temper of the eldest daughter, during the whole film she was very brave and if she wanted something she did it! That was amazing.
The moment I disliked is all about that Russian guy. I think that script writer made him a little stupid and also he didn’t know Russian language very well."
Все люди добрые, бедный маленький домик в деревне ( 2-х этажное поместье из 6 или 8-ми комнат), ну и так далее))))
